About me

I know how daunting it can feel to start therapy, and I want you to feel at ease. I bring warmth, curiosity, and creativity into the room, alongside my training in Gestalt Therapy, and approaches. Having been on my own personal development journey for many years, I understand how challenging—and rewarding—change can be. I’m passionate about helping people heal from trauma and reconnect with their creativity. Alongside my therapy work, I’ve also trained in acting, which deepens my appreciation of the creative process and the courage it takes to explore new parts of yourself.

My approach to couples therapy

I view your relationship as my client rather than either of you. Therefore in a lot of the session I invite you to turn to each other and speak to each other rather than to me. I view myself as the expert due to my training and experience however more importantly as a facilitator. I observe how you communicate with each other. I bring your awareness to what I notice in how you relate. I from time to time will invite you to experiment with doing or saying something differently. I will often ask you to pause and consider what is happening in your body and emotions as you dialogue. I work in a goal-orientated way and will ask you at the start what, specifically, you want to change in your relationship. This helps to keep us on track and evaluate whether we are making progress.

Our first couples session

We get straight to work, but in a way that feels safe and structured. I’ll invite each of you to “check in” with what you’re feeling in the moment, so we start with awareness rather than jumping into problem-solving. From there, I’ll ask what you hope to get out of therapy together, and I’ll encourage you to be as specific as possible. For example, if you say “we want to communicate better,” I’ll ask what kinds of situations or topics feel most difficult. Then I’ll check in with your partner, and together we’ll create a clear, shared goal for the work. In every session, I’ll ask what you’d most like to take away that day, so the process stays grounded in what matters to you. My role isn’t to give you rules or tell you what to do, but to help you notice patterns, highlight where you may be getting stuck, and create space for you both to tr
