About me
Psychotherapy provides a therapeutic relationship that is safe and supportive - in which to uncover, understand, integrate, transform and grow.
I offer a warm, compassionate and thoughtful space in which I will support you to explore and develop a greater understanding of your experience, self, and the world you are part of, while simultaneously finding ways to develop a greater sense of meaning, purpose and agency in life.
Working in an integrative way means I draw upon a careful selection of complementing psychological theories, techniques and philosophical concepts, so that I can tailor a therapeutic approach that is specific to your needs and ways of being.
If you would be interested in working together, please get in touch to book a free-of-charge 20 min introductory Zoom consultation, where we can discuss your needs further.
My approach to individual therapy
If you find yourself struggling with stress, overwhelm, burnout, low mood, anxiety, self-esteem and relationship issues, or find interpersonal boundaries challenging to set and maintain, I can offer an empathic and non-judgemental space to be heard and resourced to better navigate life's challenges and explore self-development.
Working in a collaborative way, we can uncover and bring together the pieces of the larger puzzle of your lived experience, building awareness and your sense of agency.
Working with what feels most relevant to you - we may draw on dialogue, identity narrative and sub-personalities / parts, nervous system regulation, psychological and philosophical principles, visualisation, dreamwork, physical symptoms, imagery and creative expression.
I offer therapy on a long-term, weekly basis, with sliding fee scale options.
Our first individual session
In our first session, I will ask a set of questions that will help me ascertain a structured understanding of your background, life experiences and present challenges. This initial session will help me assess how we may best work together.
A group of 6 sessions would follow. These will be more open, perhaps bringing specific focus to one key issue, as well as giving space for you to talk through your experiences and build up a bigger picture of how things fit together.
Progressing on from the initial period of six sessions to open-ended long-term work, we can explore your past and present in greater depth - looking at how each informs the other, while simultaneously working with ways of acting upon the understanding that emerges, to help you become more actively engaged in navigating life in ways that feel meaningful and fulfilling.
