About me

I’m Amy, a UCKP-registered psychotherapist based in Bristol. I’m passionate about supporting people on their journey to know themselves more fully, in ways that can bring about meaningful and lasting change. I completed my Postgraduate Diploma in Integrative Transpersonal Psychotherapy (level 7) at the CCPE (Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education). In addition to running my private practice, I have worked at various psychotherapy services across London and Bristol, which means I’m experienced working with a wide range of issues.

My approach to individual therapy

I believe that therapy should be grounded, collaborative, and sometimes even playful; a space where you can feel safe and curious to explore all parts of yourself. In addition to the more traditional forms of 'talking therapy', I draw on modalities such as parts (-informed), Jungian shadow work, archetypal exploration and dreamwork. Talking can bring clarity to how past experiences shape your life, while body-based and creative methods engage more directly with the unconscious (where many of our emotional wounds and deeply held beliefs are stored). When mind and body are integrated in this way, therapy moves beyond insight alone and enables us to make tangible and sustainable changes in our lives. My practice is and LGBTQI+ affirmative.

Our first individual session

In the first sessions we will explore what has been causing difficulties for you, and most importantly the changes you would like to see and feel for yourself. We'll also take time to explore your story, including your family of origin (parents, siblings, and other important figures) as well as your experiences in school, work, and current relationships.
