About me

Hi, healing is in my family, my mum was a psychotherapist and bodyworker, I became a bodyworker at 18, having grown up in a healing community after my parents separated. I have been a Creative Arts Psychotherapist since 2017. During my MA I was employed by UWE as a sessional mental health mentor. In 2018 I started Natural Genius, to provide Integrative and Creative Psychotherapy to children and adults in Bristol. I train on trauma informed practice, understanding behaviour, creativity, mental health, co-regulation, meditation, contact improvisation and psychedelic understanding and integration. In addition to group, family, couples and 1:1 therapy, and clinical supervision I facilitate group and 1:1 external supervision, across a variety of provisions in Bristol in the charity and education sectors.

My approach to individual therapy

Is that you are unique, and my role is to care, to listen and to empower you. There are lots of different ways of working to provide transformative therapy. We find the ways that work for you, with the body and relational mind as our frame. I am here to meet you where you are at, and with a variety of ways of supporting and initiating positive change, and regular reviews to check we are going in the right direction for you. Clients generally report that they have lasting transformative experiences.

Our first individual session

A cup of tea, a nice sofa to sit on, getting to know each other, finding areas to work with, agreeing on a series of sessions and review points. Our contracting will be based on a brief written document that I will send you for your input. This is a way of coming to shared agreements together. It’s important to me that we create therapy where you can feel into and reflect on what you need and is important to you.
